bureau has extra resources. hopefully they find her safe. the family of a missing woman with who was found dead is being buried this morning at shelton ham veterans cemetery. she disappeared from a naval base. the prince george's county native was found dead in north carolina last month. the fbi continues to investigate the case. there's also a $10,000 reward for information. 6:03 now. breaking news right now. someone is missing after this intense fire. look at the video here. an oil rig went up in flames on a lake just north of new orleans. it's not clear why the rig started burning. neighbors say they heard a boom so loud that it shook their homes. first responders rescued seven people but an eighth person is still unaccount add for. crews and a helicopter are looking for that person. it's not clear whether an oil spill. buhe

roadways. it is a little breezy out there. be careful as you make your way out and about. we're going to continue to see this through the morning commute. the question is, can we clear it as we get into the evening commute? the morning commute may be a little messy. but gentlemen, we need to talk about that. that is jack taylor. how are the roads looking this morning? >> hmm. they're wet and they're slick. a lot of people are doing things they don't want to be doing. do be very careful. northbound on i-295. our crash was moved out of roadway. we do have a delay behind it. unfortunately, we've got gas main breaks. chopper 4 is flying over the topside of the beltway moving around to georgia avenue. the delay is continuing toward the tem owe. should keep the speeds down. this is the crash on new hampshire avenue. everything moved off new hampshire and the travel lanes are open. only minorly affected.

we now know more than 300 people were killed in a terror attack in somalia. that number is expected to rise. a truck bomb blew up on a busy street in mogadishu. hospitals are overwhelmed right now and some of the victims are being flown to turk toy get the treatment they need. they blame the extremist group al shabab for the attack. they're linked to al qaeda. so far, no one claimed responsibility. the soldier accused of desertion is expected to enter a guilty plea in a court-martial. he was kidnapped after fleeing and spent five years as a prisoner of the taliban. he was released in 2014 as part of a controversial exchange where prisoners at guantanamo bay. and liftoff. this satellite is flying into space right

you see that six out of ten teen deaths was caused by distraction behind the wheel. that is certainly something that we all have to take into account. a quarter of the deaths were related to teens and drinking and parents are now really encouraged to talk to their kids as if they didn't before. really, about the dangers and the need to be really focused behind the wheel. take a look at this video from tripaaa that shows how distract teens can get behind the wheel. everything from chel phones to eating behind the wheel to having a friend in the car, that is also something that can be incredibly distracting. parents, we're actually now being told to model appropriate behavior for our teens when they are out here on the roads. a lot of people, kids, they'll see what their parents are doing and pick up that behavior. if you're talking on your cell phone and doing something behind the wheel that you're not necessarily supposed to be doing, you might not be surprised that your kids on the road doing the same thing. that is something that is

at 6:45. breaking news right now. an oil rig exploded. rescue crews so busy scrambling trying to find a man who disaerd a. period in the blast. our chris lawrence has been following the story from the live desk and has the latest developments.

traffic delays should be better now. metro is back open after track work closed the crystal city and airport metro stations. people had to drive instead and that created a mess on the roads. look at the video as everyone waiting for tax season. ubers last night. some people tweeted they had to wait a half an hour or more. the metro stations are open and running this morning. fewer problems hopefully for those heading out. 6:52 right now. we want to check in with wtop's jack taylor. he's got the road problems. >> the wet roadways this early in the morning, 66 eastbound. our crash in centerville has been moved to the left shoulder. they've done it twice. they'll stay on the left showeder and out of that left lane for those riding that stretch, 270 southbound, our crash is -- only the far right side of the roadway had been getting by. that caused significant delays out of fredk.
